Set Up Accounts
Begin by setting up and securing all of the necessary accounts to build your funnel:

- Verifying domain & business
- Installing Facebook Pixel on your website
- Set account-wide spend limits
- Google Analytics + UTM codes
- Place tracking ID on website
- Create UTM codes for funnel campaign
- Email Marketing – We use ActiveCampaign
- Create a form for your website
- Create lists and tags
- Program Hosting – We use Kajabi
- Landing Pages – We love Kajabi and ShowIt
- Checkout – We recommend ThriveCart
- On-Site Behavior Tracking – We love and use HotJar

- Create your applications, copy, workflows, cover images
Perform Market Research
Next, do the market research that will impact your copy, graphics, and specific execution of your funnel.
- Listing out demographic and psychographic information on your audience
- Make a hit list of places to scour for more info and perform reconnaissance there
- SWOT Analysis to define your Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats
- Interviews with select clients and past students (if preferred, not necessary)
- Define your future ad audiences
Prepare Copy
Time to ready the necessary copy for your funnel. Whether you’re working with a pro copywriter or creating your own copy, it’s important to organize everything in advance so you have time to iterate and refine your angles.
Copy to prepare:
- Ad copy
- Lead magnet copy
- Landing page copy
- Thank you page copy
- Email copy for nurture
- Email copy for conversion
- Text message copy
- Scripts for ads
- Face to cam, long form, myth busting, etc.
- Sales page copy
- Checkout page copy
- Organize, clean up testimonials and extract sound bites
- Organic post captions
- Organic story flows mapped out
Content & Graphics
In the same vein as your copy, it’s imperative that you prepare your graphics and content across the board. Doing so allows you to schedule most of your funnel assets far in advance, which gives you a full picture of what your funnel is comprised of and can be a perfect opportunity to fine tune the assets if need be.
In order to be well scheduled, make sure to create:
- Ad Graphics
- Consider every platform on which these will run and customize the aspect ratio from there such as web sized, 9:16 for IG Stories, 1:1 for IG fee
- Facebook Group (if you have it)
- Establish A/B week system and map out content
- Create cover photo (description has lead magnet)
- Film & post welcome video from FB fan page > FB Group
- Add a link to your group in the lead magnet
- Lead magnet as needed
- Landing page & thank you page graphics / gifs
- Images from photoshoot, ad graphics re-used, device mockup scenes
- Sales page graphics
- Same as above
- Testimonials (videos, images, quotes)
- Ensure you have permission across the board (image, quote, placement)
- In-email gifs and images
- Kajabi product images (for both the product and lead magnet if you go with this for the free lesson)
- Product image, module covers, lesson covers, category covers, library cover, course cover, instructor image
- Editing font, button, and video player colors to be on-brand
Development
Finally, be sure that the rest of your funnel is set up for success by creating or upgrading the web and technical aspects of your funnel…
- Upload free lesson
- To course hosting software or whichever way you plan to deliver
- Create auto-expiring coupon codes
- Create & deploy gamification within offer to decrease refunds
- Test and deploy landing and thank you page
- Create email marketing automation for funnel
- Create purchase tags
- Create all triggers within automation
- Wait, goals, action triggers
- Set up your sales page
- Set up and test your checkout or application
- Make sure it all speaks to one another
- For example: ActiveCampaign opt in form > Lead magnet delivery > Email sequence detonation > Purchase tag > Offer delivery
