The 4 Blindspots Quietly Stifling Your Launches (and How to Fix Them)

It’s the question nearly every client asks me as we’re wrapping up a launch strategy call:

“So… is there anything I’m missing?”

I love that question. It shows they’re in it.

But here’s the truth: most of the time, it’s not about what’s on the plan. It’s about what’s lurking just beneath the surface – the sneaky blindspots that quietly stifle conversions if left unchecked.

Before we get to those blindspots, let’s get one thing straight.

The Number One Focus in Any Launch Plan: Indoctrination to the Solution

Whenever I’m building or reviewing a client’s sales plan-whether it’s a live launch, a segmented sales campaign, or an evergreen funnel-I’m not just playing with tactics and timelines. I’m mapping the customer’s belief journey through the entire ecosystem we’re creating.

Our top priority? Getting them fully bought into the solution.

Here’s what I mean:

Say you’re a health and wellness coach helping people lose weight through a metabolism-boosting framework. Your audience has tried it all – gym challenges, juice cleanses, gut rewiring. But nothing sticks. Why? Because those are just tactics. They don’t address the root solution: their metabolism.

When that root solution gets activated, everything changes. Suddenly the gym, the juice, and the gut health tactics work like they’re supposed to.

Your content-Instagram posts, emails, freebies, launch events-all play a part in leading them, brick by brick, to this realization. By the time your offer drops, they’re so dialed into the idea of your solution being the fix that joining feels inevitable.

That’s what I’m scanning for every single time:
👉 Is the customer journey curated to indoctrinate them into believing this solution is the one?

Once that belief journey is mapped, then (and only then) we shift focus to the mechanics.

The 4 Blindspots That Undermine Sales

Even the best sales plans can collapse if these blindspots go unchecked. Let’s walk through them:

1. Traffic Alignment

Does your sales plan match your actual traffic flow?

Example: A client was gearing up for a high-ticket live launch but didn’t have nearly enough warm leads to make it work. We hit pause, layered in a pre-launch nurture campaign, and built belief before the big ask.

The Fix: Gut-check your numbers. If you’re planning for 1,000 sign-ups but only have 100, scale back the plan or bulk up the traffic with:

  • Micro-events
  • Visibility partnerships
  • Free resources

This builds a strong, qualified base that’s ready to convert.

2. Audience Warmth vs. Price Point

Is your audience warm and indoctrinated enough to buy at this level?

Example: A client’s $5,000 evergreen funnel wasn’t converting because it focused on shiny tactics instead of selling the core framework. We rebuilt the front end with educational content, case studies, and “aha” moments to get the audience bought into the solution.

The Fix: Layer in content that makes the gap and your solution undeniable. Consider:

  • Behind-the-scenes peeks
  • Mini-case studies
  • Trust-building nurture sequences

3. Objection Handling Placement

Are objections being answered before the pitch?

Example: One client packed all the objection handling into the webinar close, which felt overwhelming and stalled conversions. We spread objection-busting stories and testimonials throughout the webinar so the close felt like a “well, obviously” moment.

The Fix: Identify your top three objections and seed answers naturally throughout your content, webinar, and emails. Don’t save the big why for last.

4. The Path Itself

Is there a simpler, faster, or more aligned path to the goal?

Example: A client was building an elaborate six-week challenge funnel to sell a membership. But her audience already knew and trusted her. We swapped it for a three-day workshop, repeated monthly, that converted higher, faster, and with less friction. Bonus: it tested her messaging and strengthened her conversion chops for a future passive funnel. Cash in two weeks instead of six.

The Fix: Step back and ask yourself:

  • Is this path really the simplest and most aligned for this audience, right now?
  • Could a shorter, more direct activation (like a workshop or mini-intensive) replace the drawn-out plan?

Case Study: How Megan Sold Out Her Launch

That “Is there anything I’m missing?” question…

It’s a solid one, but only if your belief journey is already crafted. From there, we can talk blindspots and tactics. Because an offer doesn’t sell just because you “pitched it right.”

It sells because you curated a customer journey that made your solution inevitable.

Here’s how it looked for one of my clients, Megan.

Megan, a client in Make It Online, was prepping for her live launch of her signature group program. Thanks to our indoctrination-first sales strategy, she pre-sold every VIP spot before the official launch even began.

Because she had already filled those VIP spots early, it opened the door not only to fill her main tier but also to hit her stretch goal. The only thing she needed? More aligned leads to make sure the math was mathing.

So, we shifted the plan to include more visibility efforts-focused on driving the right people into the right resource-her pop-up private podcast.

This low-barrier, high-value opt-in warmed her audience and revealed her solution from multiple angles. Combined with Instagram and email content, it built a seamless ecosystem that pre-sold the idea before her live event.

To amplify it, she lined up visibility partnerships:

  • Guesting on Cubicle to CEO
  • Swapping opt-ins with a trusted peer
  • Personally DMing podcast listeners with invites to her masterclass

Result? Aligned leads flooding in, VIPs sold out, and her stretch goal hit.

Your Takeaway

When you’re mapping a sales plan, remember:

  • Belief in the solution comes first.
  • Then, audit the blindspots.

Because at the end of the day, sales isn’t just about a well-timed pitch. It’s about crafting a customer journey that makes saying “yes” inevitable.
