Emmy Marie is a certified trauma-informed life coach who specializes in helping clients create thriving lives and relationships after trauma. As an abuse survivor herself, Emmy understands the devastation trauma can have on our lives, and is committed to helping as many people as possible access their power and heal from trauma. You don’t have to be diagnosed with PTSD to access the benefits of trauma-informed life coaching – in fact Emmy will not diagnose you or treat you like a patient. Working with Emmy means having a knowledgeable and compassionate support system on your side as you transform your life into something that’s in alignment with your unique values and goals.
The mission of Emmy Marie Coaching is to help trauma survivors own their truth, reject toxic shame, and create joyful relationships and lives despite having a painful past. The obstacles of living with unresolved trauma running the show can be devastating: from constant self doubt and imposter syndrome, to repeatedly chasing after emotionally unavailable partners or settling for crumbs in relationships, to feeling lost and controlled by the past.
Without understanding how trauma is impacting your life and relationships, it is incredibly hard to break the cycle and make lasting change and new habits – in other words, when the unwanted past is controlling your life, it is hard to move forward towards what you DO want to create for yourself. That is why Emmy’s coaching programs and courses are always grounded in education about how trauma impacts the nervous system, and include practical strategies you can use to overcome the limiting stories our brains create in response.
Emmy values empowerment, compassion, integrity, authenticity, and growth, and she brings these values into her work as a coach, educator, speaker, and community leader. After experiencing first-hand how being kind and gentle with herself is a radical act after abuse, she grounds all of her client work in non-judgement, kindness, and empathy. When we learn to be patient and compassionate with ourselves, we are much more likely to be able to accommodate our needs and achieve the results we dream of – in every area of our lives.
In her free time, you can find Emmy exploring the Pacific Northwest, reading in her cozy corner, or making some gluten-free cookies. Or watching The Office. 😉
Emmy currently offers a 1:1 coaching program, as well as the Blooming Relationships Course, a 6-module, self-study group program to help you create healthy, supportive, and joyful relationships after trauma.
Enrollment for BRC opens in April and October, and 1:1 clients are brought in quarterly. Emmy is most active on Instagram, so follow along to learn more about trauma, healing, and any new offers she creates!
